I spent 6 years in the 504th PIR /82 Airborne and you STILL wouldn't get me in one even with a chute..
That kind of feeling is pretty much the same I would suspect that those crazy folks who change light-bulbs on top of radio towers or that REALLY dumb soul who's job it is to paint the Mackinaw Bridge from end to end then restart it again.

They need to be able to do that due to the high stress they're under, if they didn't flex and bend, they'd just break.

I know that. However it's one thing to know it in your head n quite another to see visual proof of how much they move, how fragile they are n how far up all that metal is at the whim of the wind.
